Barnsley accountants Gibson Booth are holding their regular post-Budget breakfast briefing to explain how the changes may affect local businesses.
The free event will take place on Friday 24th November, two days after Chancellor of the Exchequer Phillip Hammond presents his Autumn Budget.
Accountancy and tax experts from Gibson Booth will provide a summary of the main issues raised by the Chancellor’s latest plans, which it is thought will centre around stamp duty, corporation tax and pensions.
The briefing will run from 8am – 9.30am at The Core conference centre on County Way, Barnsley.
Around 60 business owners and managers are expected to attend and will hear from speakers including Gibson Booth managing director Robert Watson and tax director Rob Howard on company and personal tax. John Copsey from Informed Financial Planning will also give a talk on personal finance, before a round-up from Gibson Booth’s director Gary Dickinson.
Attendees will also each receive a Budget briefing pack with insight and detailed guidance on all the changes, with the opportunity to ask questions and network afterwards.
Robert Watson said: “Our post-Budget briefings always prove popular with companies from across the region.
“It’s a great chance for businesses to come along and find out in a clear and concise manner all the major changes and updates made by the chancellor.
“It’s often overwhelming when the Budget is first announced, so at the briefing we extract all the key elements and deliver it in a very simple way to ensure businesses don’t get caught out in the future.”
