You are invited to 'Pecha Kucha Night' at the Old Number 7 pub, Market Hill, Barnsley on Thursday March 1st 2012, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

'Pecha Kucha Night' involves just a few people giving short 20x20 presentations (20 slides shown for 20 seconds each) about a personal project, passion or idea of their choice. There is then plenty of time for relaxed networking - and the 20x20 speakers give us plenty to talk about! At our last event, they got us discussing the new challenges to Einstein's law of relativity, the therapeutic power of baking and the joy of helping our grannies to explore the internet.

Informal, fun and fast-paced, the 'Pecha Kucha Night (PKN)' concept was devised in Tokyo in 2003 and PKN creative networking events are now held in 434 countries around the world.

Join us for our fourth event at the Old Number 7 - the fantastic real ale pub restored and re-opened by Acorn Brewery. Free admission, but donations warmly received on the night. Pecha Kucha Barnsley is run entirely by volunteers and receives no funding.

And, if you would like to make a 20x20 presentation at this event, please submit your idea to info@creativebarnsley.co.uk before Friday February 17th and we'll get back to you. Remember Pecha Kuchas are NOT sales pitches. Think of a story you have to tell; an issue you'd like to raise or an experience you'd like to share. We'll select a variety of speakers for a rich and varied line-up.
