Nigel Tyas Ironwork

Co-directors Nigel Tyas and Elizabeth Stoker combined their contrasting skills in 2000 to set up a successful business in handmade bespoke wrought ironwork, iron light fittings, curtain poles and fire irons etc.

Talented Nigel has 40 years' experience of traditional blacksmithing and engineering, while Elizabeth has a wealth of knowledge in the IT industry.

By marrying their skills the duo have channelled into a niche market of selling high quality, traditional products in a very modern way.
As the business grew Nigel and Elizabeth found they had less time to spend on areas such as recruitment, and finance, which is where Enterprising Coaching has helped.

'Although the business was growing well we wanted a ten year action plan to make sure we were heading in the right direction,' says Nigel.

'Enterprise Coaching from a finance specialist has now enabled us to do this by putting strategies in place to support the growth of the business for the next ten years.'
Having recently been featured in The Guardian newspaper, Nigel and Elizabeth are keen to seize all opportunities to further promote the business.
'It's great having someone to talk to about what opportunities are available to us,' says Elizabeth. 'The professional coaches have an understanding of the industry meaning we can benefit from their experience.'

'From building up a reputation for fine quality products and excellent service the business has grown by at least 20 per cent year on year, even during the recession.'
