Tender - Enterprising Barnsley Provision of Public Relation Services

BMBC invite tender submissions from any organisation, individual or consortia that can carry out Public Relation services for the proposed activities detailed below (all associated costs to be included in the tender):

1. To produce and agree with the Enterprising Barnsley steering group a Public Relations strategy in line with the objectives of the programme.

2.To produce and agree with the Enterprising Barnsley steering group a Public Relations action plan that implements the Public Relations strategy.

3.To deliver, monitor, review and provide monthly written reports on progress with the strategy and action plan identified in 1 and 2. The reports shall be submitted on a monthly basis as part of the invoicing process.

4.To raise the profile of the Enterprising Barnsley programme to all relevant media outlets to increase participation in the Enterprising programme.

5.To showcase via the media how the Enterprising Barnsley programme has helped/can help Barnsley businesses and individuals seeking to establish a business in Barnsley.

6.To create a local, regional and national awareness of the high quality of businesses operating in Barnsley, leading to potential new business opportunities for these businesses.

7.To provide a minimum of 3 press releases for each month of the contract and for the press releases to target the web, social media, radio and TV broadcasters and the printed local, sub regional, regional and national business press. All press releases will be accompanied by a photo taken by a professional photographer. (all associated costs to be included in the tender)

8.As a minimum to upload press releases and other newsworthy items to:

  • An Enterprising Barnsley facebook account (it will be a requirement for the successful tenderer to establish and maintain the account for the duration of the commission)

9. To ensure a regular flow of appropriate social media activity

10. To provide content, design and produce the Enterprising Barnsley e-newsletter on a quarterly basis . This should be submitted to the Enterprising Barnsley Programme Manager at the end of June, September, December and March. The contacts and distribution of the e-newsletter will be undertaken by Enterprising Barnsley staff via their Evolutive management information system.

11. To provide a monthly report of work undertaken, including the tracking of coverage achieved in all media, future opportunities and areas for improvement. The report should include details and copies of/links to coverage achieved

12.On occasion there may be the need for attendance at the Enterprising Barnsley Operational Group to discuss progress with Public Relation services

13.The delivery of workshops that showcases the benefits for businesses undertaking a pro-active approach to public relations.
