This is a 1 day workshop at a special promotional offer of £150 per person. The speaker is Tony Smith, former England and GB Rugby League Head Coach.
Tony Smith Biography
Tony Smith grew up in rural New South Wales, Australia on a small dairy farm. He left school to work in the banking industry. This career lasted 7 years and was combined with competing as a professional rugby league player. Tony played professional rugby league for 11 years.
Upon retirement from playing Tony began the next stage of his professional life as a rugby league coach, a career that spanned 21 years.
He and his family moved to England in 2000. Tony began his professional coaching career in England with a possible “world record” 15 consecutive losses! He managed to survive that start going on to coach at 3 clubs, winning trophies at each one. Tony was also appointed the National Coach of England and Great Britain. He became a proud British Citizen in 2009.
Tony has recently retired from coaching rugby league and has embarked on a new career as a consultant in Leadership Support and Welfare. He has consulted for a number of organisations including the Premier League and The League Managers Association.
